New Song on MySpace - Posted by jackdelamare on Sunday, July 20 2008
One of the new songs for the new album has now appeared on MySpace, a studio recording. It really is amazing, which shows the album is going to be excellent. Everyday All of the Time was first played at live shows but is now online on the band's MySpace page. It seems that the name has also been changed to "We'll Always Have Paris". Thanks for the heads up Barrie ;).

The official Fastball website has now been updated on the gallery page with some very cool images of the band. All taken by 'Kim Stringfellow' this year.

Official Website Launched! - Posted by jackdelamare on Tuesday, July 1 2008
TexasYesFan was the first to find the official website now open to the public. It's a simple but nicely designed website and I believe uses WordPress features and has some very interesting information on the latest album which is now up for release in fall 2008. There is also some cool images of the band as the main banner, so be sure to check that out.

Album Release Information - Posted by jackdelamare on Friday, June 20 2008
I received a message back from Tony on MySpace regarding the album and why it is coming out in September. He said that they are going to make it the best album it could be, so, being Fastball, they must have some pretty awesome things up their sleeves. He also mentioned that the website will be up in the near future and judging by what I found, it will use blog features but we should not say anymore, we should wait.

Album Release Date! - Posted by jackdelamare on Monday, June 16 2008
Tony posted a new blog on his MOG page which includes the expected date of release for the new album! Thanks to TexasYesFan on the BlackRainOnline forum for the find. The album should hopefully be released on the 9th September 2008! Miles and Tony both said recently that the album was finished and as we've seen so is some of the artwork so it makes me wonder what they're going to be doing over the summer. Maybe they'll be touring for the album which is a new and different approach, or maybe they've found a record company interested in them to help them promote. We'll just have to wait and see.

Forum member 'shinobiman', better known as Tyler made a music video for Fastball's new song "All I Was Looking For Was You". He mixed many clips of Fastball playing the song recorded by Shelly and TexasYesFan and the video is excellent. Be sure to watch, comment and rate the video!

Album Artwork? (!) - Posted by jackdelamare on Saturday, June 14 2008
TexasYesFan found a very interesting image on the Fastball MySpace. It may just possibly be an early design, or full design of the album artwork. It is an excellent image and you can view it below.

A new image of the band themselves is also now on MySpace and that can be viewed below.

Enjoy the new images, and roll on the album's release!

Another great show, Fastball in NY - Posted by jackdelamare on Wednesday, June 4 2008
Fastball played a great show on board a cruise ship in the New York habour last weekend. All except keyboardist Derek performed and again they played many of their new songs. You can find a full review of the show on the BlackRainOnline forums, thanks to TexasYesFan. He was at the show along with Qgirl and many other fans. Some videos from the show are currently on YouTube thanks to "andyman25video". Be sure to check them out.
On the news of the album, Tony's MOG page yet again shows he is listening to "She's Got The Rain" on the album "Little White Lies". Although, if you click onto Little White Lies it leads you to page named "Santa Barbara Demos". More possible names for the album? We hope so.

New Songs Played at Threadgill's - Posted by jackdelamare on Thursday, May 29 2008
Fastball's latest show at Threadgill's in Austin on the 23rd May was one of the best. TexasYesFan was there as always and recorded the whole show on video and audio. The audio is streaming as I type at www.archive.org/fastball. More importantly though, Fastball played some of their new songs from the new album! New songs played included Rampart Street, Always Never, Mono to Stereo, Soul Radio and Everyday All Of The Time. They all sound excellent and it's going to be great hearing them with studio perfection. The show itself was excellent, one of the best. Derek Morris played along with Fastball as the keyboardist so You're An Ocean sounds extra sweet. Another one of their new songs "Little White Lies" played at this show is the closest I've heard to the studio version on their MySpace. It is worth a listen, the whole song sounds so similar. That's what's great about Fastball, no fake voices or anything in the studio. You can hear/see a video of All I Was Looking For Was You here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-EVdRsfTn4

The album is most likely complete. Miles said it was almost complete, and Tony said that it is complete, so most likely is the recording is done and they are working on artwork and the release. I cannot wait to hear the album, and you can find out all the info we can get our hands on here.

Big Car Old Video Found - Posted by jackdelamare on Saturday, May 10 2008
TINML recently found a very old video from 1992 which is from the band 'Big Car'. Big Car is Miles, Joey's and Jeff Grove's old band, before Fastball. It's a video for the band's single "Venus" and is quite a good listen, so check it out!

New News System! - Posted by jackdelamare on Friday, May 9 2008
Hello,

I accidently lost all of the news that had been submitted to the site about a week ago and I couldn't find any backup of it. Now though, I have a new news system which makes it a lot easier for me to update and also harder for me to accidently delete it!

Anyway, Fastball are giving you the chance to name the new Fastball album, so you can head over to their MySpace or to the BlackRainOnline forums to have your say! If your name gets picked then you'll receive a signed copy of the album and also backstage passes to the next show in your area! How cool is that?

BlackRainOnline forum member "shinobiman" came accross some interesting tracks on Tony Scalzo's MOG page... the possible final tracks for the album! Names such as "Mono To Stereo-Final2.KickDownBassUp-M4RT_01" are in Tony's last listened to area, so hopefully the album is being completed and hopefully we'll know something about a release during this month!

Keep checking back for more news and information, and if you haven't already, check out the media pages for each album and check out my additions for album media!
